Aside from the homemade sniper rifles you may have seen while browsing Google, there are two Nerf guns available for sale that look like sniper rifles. These are genuine Nerf toys, not some high powered homemade concoction that can blow holes in walls, which can still be cool, but not practical for a Nerf battle since most people want to keep their eyes.
Below is a quick run-through on both of these Nerf gun sniper rifles, which are also currently available for sale.
Nerf Longshot - The Longshot CS-6 came out later 2008, and immediately was noticed for its sheer length. Running at 3 feet long, it was instantly the longest toy Nerf gun available for sale. Aside from being long, it also looked incredibly awesome with its futuristic sniper styling. Features include a retractable stock, a cool tactical scope, site rail, detachable barrel, and spare blaster neatly tucked under the detachable barrel.
Nerf Longstrike - New for 2010, this toy blaster beat the Longshot in length, becoming the longest blaster yet again to hit store shelves. It clocks in at a little over 3 feet, which makes it a definite site for curious eyes. Features include a carrying slot for a spare clip on the side of the stock, a flip up site, detachable barrel, and site rail.
These are two of the only sniper style Nerf guns available for sale. You can find them at your local toy store such as Toys R Us and Wal-Mart, and online at places like Amazon and eBay.
